Dub Poet, Haji Mike and music maker Bandulu Dub once got together through cyberspace to write some tunes. Haji Mike in Nicosia, Cyprus and Bandulu Dub in Minho, Portugal worked across a lot of tunes and riddims, back and forth over a 12 month period. This all started to happen some 8 years ago. Some things happened in between beyond their control including Haji Mike losing a lot of the tunes on one of his many hard drives . This loss was caused by the mass electricity shortages imposed on citizens in Cyprus in 2011 after the Mari Disaster. Through perseverance and some handy work from local computer geek Doctor Kacharistras-ristas, Haji Mike was able to retrieve a handful of these songs - there were originally around 25. 'The Lost Dub Poetry Hard Drive Volume 1' is released in the hope that the other songs will soon be found as well. These songs are about friendship, the impact of hate, a flag that sits unnaturally on a hill in Cyprus, ecology and the earth and doing, Jah works through music and poetry.
